The Ethereum Network is experiencing extreme congestion once again, it appears the spam attacks are back! The spam was an outcome of thousands of purchases from a number of ERC20 wise agreement which shows up to have no projects. These strange project-less smart contracts have actually been spamming the Ethereum connect with pointless deals. Vitalik Buterin, the owner of Ethereum tweeted earlier today claiming that the approximated cost of the recent transaction spam was around $15 million.
An Ethereum designer declared that EOS lagged the ETH network spamming. Inning accordance with the designer, EOS carried out a series of token “Airdrops” resulting in sky-high gas costs. The programmer, Justo implicated EOS of deliberately assaulting the Ethereum network.

In a meeting with TrustNodes, Justo claimed,
” Each day up until the launch of the EOS platform, which was June 6th, gas prices raised due to “Airdrop” symbols. Hundreds of arbitrary tokens, without web site, or bootstrapped layout sites made in hours. Throwing away thousands of ethereum daily, numerous hundreds of dollars to drop tokens. This occurred up until the launch of EOS, on the 6th, after that right away stopped. In someday, gas prices hung back to regular.”
Dan Larimer, the CTO of Block. One reacted to the complaint saying EOS had no part in adjusting gas rates. He took to Telegram to shoot down the claims and also said,
” I could assure you block one would not be so stupid to invest our resources assaulting eth when all it takes is crypto kitties. There are much smarter and also much more cost-effective methods at bringing eth down if that were the objective.” The statement was shared on Reddit. It is to be noted that EOS shut the week on a high as well as the rates went up by practically five percent in the last 24 Hr.”
But despite their participation, the deal spam has set you back the ETH network rather a lot of money. Inning Accordance With Vitalik Buterin’s tweet, he estimates it’s around $15 million. He further specifies on the cost sustained with some vibrant equivalencies. Inning accordance with him, the expense of the spam amounted 5 million environment-friendly teas or 75 Lamborghinis or 25 Coinbase seed rounds. Last but not least, he compares the total up to 0.9% of Telegram’s ICO.
According to my estimates, the recent tx spam on the ETH network cost up to ~$15m USD (~= 5m green teas, ~75 lambos, ~25 Coinbase seed rounds, ~0.9% of Telegram ICO)
Free market principles prevent me from being too upset at someone using the ETH blockchain as they wish, but wow.

The Ethereum co designer’s tweet does not guess on “that” or “why.” Yet the globe of crypto being a pseudonymous one implies the “that” and “why” will stay unknown. At least for a while, or up until somebody admits or some sort of OpSec fault.
